Many people have argued that oral sex is not a sin, while a few say it is. There is no gainsaying the fact that oral sex is a very controversial topic. The scripture seems silent on the subject that is why it is difficult to speak authoritatively on the subject.
According to Webster dictionary, oral sex is oral stimulation of the genitals. According to Wikipedia, “Oral sex is sexual activity involving the stimulation of the genitalia by the use of the mouth, tongue, teeth or throat. Cunnilingus refers to oral sex performed on females while fellatio and irrumatio refer to oral sex performed on males. Analingus refers to oral stimulation of a person's anus. Oral stimulation of other parts of the body (as in kissing and licking) is usually not considered oral sex. People may engage in oral sex as part of foreplay before sexual intercourse, or during or following intercourse. It may also be performed for its own sake.”
Oral sex is intercourse involving genital contact between individuals other than penetration of the vagina by the penis. This kind of sex is growing in popularity by the day all around the world. Christians are also practicing it and justifying it. Those involved in it are encouraged because the scripture is silent on the subject.
To understand this subject, we need to answer these questions:
1. Everything God created he created for a purpose. What is the purpose of the male and female genitals?
2. Was the penis designed for the female mouth?
3. Was the vagina designed for the mouth and tongue of man?
4. Can oral sex lead to pregnancy, and result in procreation.
Purpose of the male and female sex organ
When purpose is not known, abuse becomes inevitable.
1.The male genitals called the penis, was designed for penetration into the vagina of the woman.
2. It was designed for sexual intercourse.
3.It is with the penis that the “seed” (sperm) is ejaculated into the woman’s vagina for conception and procreation. (Take note that no woman ever becomes pregnant by swallowing the male sperm).
4.The vagina was designed to receive the male penis, and has its natural lubricants to help intercourse and prevent friction and injury as the man thrust in and out of the woman.
5.The penis was not designed to be taken in the mouth of the woman. To practice oral sex is an aberration (abuse).
6.The vagina was not designed to be licked, sucked or blown into as many do today in oral sex. It was designed for genital sex.
From the above, it is obvious that God did not have oral sex on his mind when he created male and female sex organs. Oral sex is an aberration –a departure from the original intent of God. It is in mine opinion after a careful and detail study of our subject, a sexual perversion arising from impure thoughts, and should be discouraged and discontinued.
